Ocean Love Sailing Days onboard New Moon give students a new frame of reference to the issue of plastic pollution. They see first hand the effect of pollution on ocean ecosystems. We discuss how it effects their lives and how to rethink the use of plastics.

TURNING PLASTIC WASTE INTO NEW VALUABLE ITEMS
In our workshop we talk about plastics and how we can make new valuable products form plastic waste. The students get to use machines certified for safety and designed for teaching in an introduction of upcycling plastics. They also learn about the importance of plastics in our lives, the responsible use of them, and how to take that information back to their communities.
